St. Al’s Food Pantry
Open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–noon and 1–3 p.m., at the parish office (closed holidays). The pantry and the Help & Hope Fund give food and direct aid to anyone in need — no paperwork and no parish membership required. Call (419) 352-4195.
How the parish can help
Pregnancy and parenting support
Walking with Moms in Need connects pregnant and parenting mothers with practical local support. Call or text (419) 407-6130.
Prayer
The weekly bulletin carries the parish prayer list. Call the office at (419) 352-4195 to add a name — first names are fine.
Homebound, hospitalized, or in a nursing home
Ministers bring Holy Communion weekly to the homebound, to Catholic patients at Wood County Hospital (usually Tuesdays), and to area nursing facilities. Call the office to be added.
Grieving
GriefShare’s next 13-week session begins August 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the narthex — register at find.griefshare.org. The parish funeral team and luncheon volunteers also help families in the first days.
Living with cancer
The Cancer Support Group meets Fridays at 10 a.m. in the Parish Center — prayer, conversation, lunches, and crafts, for patients and survivors alike. Contact Barb Whitman, bawhit48@gmail.com.
Questions about the faith
Fr. Tom holds an Open Door at the rectory the first and third Thursdays of each month, 6–8 p.m. — no appointment needed. The first-Wednesday Day of Grace & Healing offers Confession and Anointing from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
