Becoming Catholic
Adults join the Catholic Church through OCIA — for people never baptized, people baptized in other traditions, and Catholics completing their sacraments. The group meets Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the narthex (except fifth Mondays) from September through Easter. Each person is paired with a sponsor, joins the parish retreat in January, and receives Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

Family Faith Formation — FX3
FX3 is family faith formation for every person in the parish — school family or not — built around parents as the first teachers of the faith. Sessions meet twice monthly on Sunday mornings, 9:05–10:05 a.m., between the 8:00 and 10:15 Masses. There is no cost to attend.
The 2026–2027 year runs from Sunday, September 13, 2026 through Sunday, May 23, 2027 — sixteen sessions, each standing on its own. An optional $70 home kit (Sophia Institute Press’s A Family of Faith Parent Guide and children’s Activity Guide) is available for households with children who want more at home; it is never required. St. Aloysius Catholic School
St. Aloysius School serves preschool through 8th grade on the parish campus. Religious instruction, sacramental preparation, service learning, and daily prayer are part of the school day, and students of every faith background are welcome.

ACTS Retreat
A lay-led weekend retreat — Adoration, Community, Theology, Service. Men’s retreat: November 20–23, 2025, at Maria Stein. Women’s retreat: October 8–11, 2026. Contact Dale Schroeder (419-819-6373) or Michael Ginnetti.
LILIES women’s group
A women’s group for prayer and faith study — Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., open to women of every age.
Women’s Bible Study
Wednesdays 10–11:30 a.m. in Clare Hall during the school year — Scripture in the light of Catholic teaching. Contact Linda Kettinger, lindakett@gmail.com.
Men’s Bible Reflection

The Parish Retreat
A day and a half each January at St. Aloysius, on the sacramental life. Open to all.
Youth
SAY Teens (high school)
Wednesdays at the Annex (121 S. Enterprise St.): free dinner at 6:00, program 6:30–8:00, and an optional Night of Worship at 9:00 at St. Thomas More with Adoration, music, and Confession. SAY FIAT (grades 5–8)
A youth-led service team: members choose three or four projects a year and carry them out, including the annual Rock-a-thon for the Bowling Green Pregnancy Center. Projects count toward Confirmation service hours. Parent volunteers make it possible. Contact Nick De La Torre, dlt.n@stalbg.org.

CYO Sports
Basketball (grades 3–12), cross country (K–8), track (4–8), and girls volleyball (3–12) through the diocesan Catholic Youth Organization — practices twice a week, games around BG and Toledo, coached by parent and college-student volunteers.
